Play by Play: Obama Wins Votes One at a Time

Border

CINCINNATI — Colleen Munninghoff challenged Sen. Barack Obama politely Monday to win her vote in next week’s Ohio primary. And he did.

“At the age of 50, I never thought I’d be back living paycheck to paycheck,” Munninghoff said at a campaign discussion the Democratic presidential contender held with a handful of women to stress his plans for making retirements more secure.

She was one of five women selected by campaign aides for the event, and after each had spoken, she popped the question.

“I understand the kids are getting on the Obama bandwagon,” she said, before saying this was the first time since she was 18 that she didn’t know which candidate to support.

“You should vote Democratic,” was his reply, after saying he had been doing pretty well “among more experienced voters” as well as younger ones.

Getting back to his challenge, Obama put in something of a good word for his Democratic rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“Myself or Senator Clinton, we’re all concerned about creating a better social safety net. … The truth is the differences between my plans and Senator Clinton’s health plans are relatively modest,” he said.

Then he pivoted quickly into comparison mode.

He said the biggest difference was he didn’t think necessary change could be brought about unless “we can bring people together more effectively.”

He said it would be necessary to reach across the political aisle, and “I think I can do that better than Senator Clinton.”

Next, he said a lot of problems exist because of the “domination of the lobbyists and special interests. … That’s the reason I don’t take PAC money, I don’t take money from federally registered lobbyists.”

Obama said that was something “I take more seriously that Senator Clinton does,” adding that she accepts contributions from lobbyists.

Finally, he said, “I think we need a president who is going to be straight with the American people about how we are going to solve problems.”

Moments later the conversation ended, without Obama asking Munninghoff whether she had made up her mind.

Initially, she sounded like she wasn’t sure what to do.

But a few hours later, in a telephone interview, she said she intended to vote for him.

It’s not just one thing,” she said, or one question he answered.

Instead, she said she liked “the atmosphere, the aura, the honesty, the comfort I felt.”

Texas and Ohio. Please follow the link below. If you really love this country then please do not put Obama in office. You are our last hope. This man more concerned with himself than the American people he wants to have vote for him. Any man that turns his back on Our Flag should not be allowed to run for any office

Obama is great speaker. With some of the most charismatic speeches heard. Obama is WEAK. As soon as the sh!t hits the fan (which it inevitably does regardless what the U.S. does) what will he do? Will he “hope” us out of a conflict with Russia or China? If Obama wins you’ll see all our European and UN friends come back and be friends. Which is good. But, what will we have to sacrafice to get there. Dems and Libs say we are wrong for acting without NATO or UN support of approval. But what did NATO or the UN do in Sudan, Rwanda, or the Congo? When things get grim or some dictator tells UN inspectors to f%*k off 17 times in row (Iraq), do we wait for the UN to let the world burn? Or do we act? When words alone cannot fix a situation then action is all that is left. And Obama is all words.

Dear Senator Obama

Please tell us straight in everyday English what you know of, and supply your sources please:

Jomo Kenyatta, first President of Kenya;

The Mau-Mau wars;

Your successor Daniel Arab Moi;

Write to your cousin Odinga and tell him you have now been a Christian for twenty years, that you Praise Jesus as you Savior and your Holy Book is now the Bible; tell him too that you are not a Muslim; ask him why he says he is your cousin; publish your letter to him and his reply.

Then explain the statements in your taped message to Condoleezza Rice and why you misrepresented what is really happening in Kenya right now.

I challenge you to do that, Senator.

And then you tell America about Tubman and Liberia, your views please.

As I Watch the News, from the various channels and Alphabet soup of Names,
There is a Glaring Discrepancy for the Fair and Balanced Viewpoint.

The Polarization that ensures, they Espouse the, Point of View expressed,
By the Media Pundits, are their own whether, By the Left Wing Party
Or the Right Wing, are in such disproportions it boggles the mind.

The supposition that they are only Reporting, Is as Ludicrous as The re-definition
Of the Word “IS” IS! And their Reporting, is so Bi-ass’d as to show their political
Diversity? I have seen Nothing, to Tell me they are Fair nor Balanced.
That sometimes, Includes Fox News.

However, that being said, I watched HaNnity’s Program “The Price We Pay”
on the Border Crisis! I am Incensed and appalled by;

The Lack of this congress and senate to address this issue, with the failed and
Broken system they have been responsible for. And done nothing for the states that
Have repeatedly, REQUESTED AID TO FIX THIS.
THE BORDER FENCE WAS PASSED AND FUNDED, YET IT IS STILL NOT BEING DELT WITH.
And STILL, with no response from congress AND not the senate EITHER, to remedy this!

AGAIN, Our Citizens are being Kidnapped, our border Agents Killed by the Drug Cartels
And The Mexican Government abets and enables their open hostilities against America!

When are the American people going to wake up? When we have to Arm Ourselves
In accordance with, the second amendment, Just to Protect our hearth and kin?
Never mind the border? There is a Real and Present Danger on our Broken Border!

THE CONGRESS AND SENATE DEMOCRATIC PARTY;
ARE NOT ONLY THE “CUT AND RUN” BUT THE “GET NOTHING DONE”
BACKFLIPS AND BACKSTABBING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE,
WHILE THE BORDERS ARE OVERRUN WITH DRUGS AND ILLEGAL ALIENS,
AND THIS IS “TREASON”; BY ANY LIGHT OF THEIR OATH TO PROTECT;
THE U.S.A AND THE RIGHTS OF IT’S; CITIZENS!

“NOT THE ILLEGAL” INVADERS, WHO DEMAND FREE EVERYTHING, WHILE;
TRUE AMERICANS ARE DENIED ANYTHING RESEMBLING JUSTICE!

There Are Repercussions to the Politicians and the State and Local Officials,
Who WILL NOT Protect the American People, in Preference; for the
“Illegal Alien Invasion of America!”

Lou Dobbs and Hannity are right, The Left Wing, Soros, and Move-On are so embedded
with the Democratic Party, and The Open Borders and Nafta/Cafta trade Policies that
they will Not Do anything to Upset the: “FAR LEFT WING”
And Donors TO: “THEIR CAMPAIGN COFFERS!”

Follow the MONEY, Whether, it is “Politics or the Drug Cartel’s!”

In this election year, is There A Dimes worth of Difference?

George from Greece (at 7:35 am) has made himself a spokesman for all Europeans. I don´t think the majority of European’s, young and old, are strong supportes of senator Obama.

United States of America is like an enormous ship in rocky waters such as helthcare, terrorism, recession…….. It is necessery to be careful and have a very reliable navigation paper to avoid grounding. Hillery Clinton will be the best pilot and she has the most confidence-inspiring map. Obama seems to have no map at all…………………………………!

Obama is a risky candidate.

I am a Democrat, but will vote for McCain if Obama gets the nomination. Any man touted by Louis Farrakhan as a great hope for America, is someone to be feared.
I am astounded that so many Americans are buying into this empty rock star hype and are willing to put their nation in the hands of someone with so many unknowns.
