Huckabee to Make Guest Spot on First SNL Since Writers’ Strike
Saturday Night Live’s first show since the writer’s strike forced it from the air 16 weeks ago will feature Mike Huckabee in a guest appearance, FOX News learned Wednesday.
The former Arkansas governor is not expected to host this weekend’s SNL — that job is reserved for “30 Rock” star and former cast cast member Tina Fey.
But a spot on the NBC sketch comedy show will at least give him some extra time in the limelight as rival John McCain works to close him out in the GOP race. Democratic candidate Barack Obama appeared as himself during the show’s last episode before the strike, on Nov. 3, 2007.
Huckabee has been a favorite of the late night comedy circuit since he launched his underdog bid.
Conan O’Brien, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert even staged a mock feud on their shows in early February over who “made” Huckabee.
FOX News’ Serafin Gomez contributed to this report.

You want a glimpse into Huckabee’s character? Just look at the fact that he is going on SNL. The content and language of that show is absolutely awful. You wouldn’t find Mitt Romney anywhere near that show because it goes against everything wholesome and decent that Romney stands for. Huckabee’s moral and religious rantings are just that - talk. He does not back that up with his actions. He should be ashamed.
The real Vanilla Ice did not post “Huckabee reminds me of Hitler”
Whoever did is just trying to reduce my influence on this boards.
What I see.
What I see when I look at our field of Presidential Candidates in light of current world events and leaders.
On the Democrat side of the isle I see two very different Candidates with very similar views for our country.
One is Senator Clinton. In Senator Clinton’s campaign I see nothing but strife, contention, in-fighting and a struggle to get a consensus to make a decision. How can we rely on a leader who can’t even keep unity in her own ranks?
The other is Senator Obama. In Senator Obama’s campaign I see a sensational speaker who rides the tide of emotionalism. When times were not favorable we see his campaign withdrawn, subdued and searching for presence of mind. We know the demands of the Presidency are far greater than any campaign. There will be many times where unpopular decisions need to be made under challenging circumstances and we need a leader who can handle the stress with the presence of mind to make those decisions. We need more than emotions. We need substance.
On the Republican side of the isle I see two very different Candidates with very different views for our country.
The first is John McCain. In Senator McCain I see a great hero who struggles to maintain his composure. I see a Candidate who has shown time and again how he loses his presence of mind and temper over little things that are out of his control. I see a Candidate who could lead us to premature preemptive action when delicate diplomacy is required. I see a Candidate who will make a tense situation worse. I see a Candidate who needs a staff to manage him. How can we have a President who struggles to handle the little things and think he will somehow be different facing Vladmir Putin or Ahmadenajad?
Last but not Least is Mike Huckabee. In Gov. Huckabee I see man who has faced the ridicule, scorn and contempt of the Republican establishment, the Media and fellow religious leaders and remained unflappable. I see a man who did not cower, wilt or fade in spite of overwhelming odds. In Mike Huckabee I see a man who keeps his presence of mind in all situations. In Mike Huckabee I see a man who brings levity to tense and challenging situations. In Mike Huckabee I see hope. In Mike Huckabee I see a future with sealed borders! In Mike Huckabee I see a future with the largest military power in the world! In Mike Huckabee I see a future with Fair trade! In Mike Huckabee I see a future with the Fair Tax!
In Mike Huckabee I see a President with a vision for our Country!
In Mike Huckabee I see a President who will stand strong with conviction for our Principles! That’s What I See.
VOTE FOR HITLER
oops
VOTE FOR HUCKABEE
Mike Huckabee is a strong, ethical and honorable man! People should not quick just because it is hard or the end looks bleak… We can all learn a lot from Huckabee’s convictions and perseverance! Go HUCK Go! I am watching SNL now to see his appearance! Texans for Huckabee!
Texas holds the winning play by the grace of God.

Huckabee reminds me of Hitler.
This nation, as never before is standing at the cross roads of determining who we will be.
Will we be a nation that doesn’t know what we believe or stand for? Have we allowed everything we are to go by the wayside so that we don’t even know who we are anymore? Will we go the way of our international brothers? It is apparent to me in reading these blogs that we have alot of anti-Christian; anti-American bias in this Country. If we continue down that path, we will get what we have already started to see. Our school children being murdered; our heritage being stripped away; government taking control.
It is time to change! It is time to take a stance for what is right and moral and good!
You say this is just an election! I beg to differ with you!
This is a stand for our survival as the God-directed; God-protected Country that we are! Without God’s direct guidance and hand of protection on this Country we are without hope. We will become the secular progressive country that the movement has intended us to be.
It is time to awake America! Vote for the only candidate at this point that believes in the America that we have come to know and love…
Here’s something I found about those poor Mormon people that the HuckUhBigots hate so very very much
:
So Brigham Young said such and such back in the late 1800s, back when your good ol’ white Baptists were out with their pastors lynching blacks and murdering abolitionist Mormons. Just about everybody considered blacks to be the “seed of Cain” back then and white Southern Baptists used that as a justification for slavery and abuse, but the Mormons of the time opposed slavery and were murdered over it. Mormons also allowed blacks to be baptized and to join their church (What about the white Southern Baptists? They were too busy r@ping and murdering blacks to help them save their souls…).
You also misrepresent the context of whites mixing their seed with blacks. Brigham Young was referring to white men r@ping black women like animals, as was done by white Southern Baptists. The punishment for a Mormon to follow such practices was “death on the spot” or spiritual death or basically excommunication from the church for forsaking their covenants by committing a serious sexual sin by forcing themselves on a black woman outside of marriage as was commonly practiced by white Southern Baptists.
There are plenty of black Mormons in urban areas. Utah didn’t have a large black population in the 1970s and therefore did not have many black members in that area. There was, however, a large population of Latino Mormons in Utah at the time, so enough with regards to racism in Utah (Do you want to compare Utah to Arkansas with regards to racism at any given point in time?). Furthermore, Africa has been one of the most successful places for conversion into the LDS Church and retention of faithful converts, and many black African Mormons existed in West Africa before 1978. There are also more Spanish-speaking than English-speaking Mormons and more Mormons residing outside than inside the United States. Many of the very first Mormon missionaries and Apostles were sent to preach to Native Americans and Polynesians, and there are whole tribes and nations of them who are largely Mormon to this day. Almost all of the worlds languages are spoken as a second language in Salt Lake City, Utah due to young Mormons learning the languages of the nations that they are sent to by the Church.
Mormon doctrine is very clear on racism:
“For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.” (Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 26:33)
—————————————————————————————————-
Good grief… all those people that know so much about ‘Mormons’ need to go to lds.org or mormon.org and learn the truth about the faith … with all the different churches in the world today I would never pretend to know the differences in doctrine between them all until I studied the different sects in depth.
And FYI, I do believe that one of the main causes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint (Mormon) peoples being run out of the ’slave state’ Missouri (by mostly ‘good CHRISTIAN PEOPLE’ I might add) is because “he Mormons were against slavery and favored immigration of free blacks.” The Mormons proved to be a threat to the slave-state of MO.
lol .. you can see how that would have been a little problem and the ‘Mormons’ paid with the loss of their homes and their lives in some cases. The rest is history - the Mormon Trail of Tears (their exodus to Utah) as the Indians referred to it.
The Mormons, can for the most part, be counted on to be a people of integrity, high standards and excellent work ethics. People need to stop slamming them out of ignorance.
I wonder what Gladys Knight would have to say, or Thurl Baily or Alex Boye or any of the other hundreds of thousands of black members of the LDS church all over the world.
I wonder what the millions of latino members around the world would say about how “racist” this church is.
The fact is, there are more members of the LDS church outside of the U.S. than inside, of all races and ethnic backgrounds, in dozens of countries, on all continents, and in over 100 languages.
And since you’re so into quotes, here’s a modern one for you:
President Gordon B. Hinckley:
“The true gospel of Jesus Christ never led to bigotry. It never led to self-righteousness. It never led to arrogance. The true gospel of Jesus Christ leads to brotherhood, to friendship, to appreciation of others, to respect and kindness and love”
a as christian, southern baptist, and conservative, there is no way i can support huckabee. He has lied, he does not practice what he preaches and he’s getting as bad as bill clinton wanting to be the “center of attention”. Not only is he a spoiler, I believe he is spoiled.
No where in our Constitution does it say a man or woman’s religious beliefs is a reason for one not to run or be elected.
My Bible says “Judge not lest ye be judged” Huckabee has judged romney’s belief and attacked his personal character. That to me is unchristian.
Huckabee has also coveted what Romney has - his wealth. Well if Huckabee wants Romney’s money, huckabee should get out and get a real job and stop taking money from the people. Maybe he should learn to invest more wisely than being envious of what others have.
Bible also says thou shalt not bear false witness (LIE) and let me tell you Huckabee and McCain both LIED about Romney’s record and positions on
I look at huckabee and see a pharisee or sadducee a false prophet beating his chest saying look at me i’m your man. I see a very self-centered, egotistical man who lied about how he lost his weight. He didn’t lose it by dieting, he had a gastric bypass.
I don’t like the fact huckabee fired the individual who wanted to bring charges against huckabee’s son for taking a stray dog, stoning and then hanging it. He covered up his son’s crime. It is a crime to torture an animal.
I don’t like Huckabee’s attacks on beliefs. Look at what those statements have done. He has offended not only the mormon folks, but the Jewish faith, and catholics.
We are not electing a “pastor in chief”, but a president. There are a lot of people in this country who are not Christians. You cannot turn the White House into a Church. That is a violation of the Constitution.
You don’t bring people to Jesus by condemning what other people believe. You have to show by action why you believe in Jesus Christ.

“It’s not about ego,” Huckabee told reporters at a Little Rock hotel. The former Arkansas governor said he still wanted to deliver his message about issues important to him, such as opposition to those ‘evil Mormons’, and a revised anti-Mormon hate literature & book signing/lecturing tour.”
We know Mike. We know. Don’t go away mad, just go away.
